Interest has been massive and with a limit of 100 team places for 2010 you'll have to get in quickly to secure a spot. There is also a price incentive to enter early as after three months the entry fee will increase by $50 per rider.
The first team to enter will get a couple of bottles of Marfell's Beach wine, and a cycle top each...
The next 9 teams will also get a little thanks from us in the mail for being so speedy. Out of the first 20 teams to enter we will draw a fantastic prize of a flight aboard a hot air balloon in Queenstown with Sunrise Balloons. Will be absolutely stunning.

| Course tweaks and changes |

There are quite a few changes to the course we will be taking in 2010. New tracks on every stage, new campsites, one and a half completely new stages. It's exciting for us, and the riding and scenery is getting better. More under race details...
This summer is forecast to be El Nino, which means hot and dry winds on the east. It'll make for stunning backdrops, some serious sweating and a thirst that will best be quenched by a chilled bottle of Moa.

| Awatere Assault 6 and 12 hour |

We've added a 6 hour version to our race in the Awatere on 17th October. The course is stunning, from the start/finish you can see riders on about 80% of the 9km loop course, the exceptions are when they are diving through scubby gullies, stands of native bush, or next to the beach. Get your entry in pronto.
