After being tipped off about a fantastic spot for a mountain bike event by our wine sponsors www.marfellsbeach.co.nz, we've set up the Awatere Assault 12 hour...
- 12 hour mountain bike lap race with camping included on Saturday night
- Bonfire on beach, music and a few drinks
- Laps will take on average 40 minutes
- Some tough climbs and stunning views
- Solo or teams of up to 5 compadres

A reminder that we are going to be opening entries for the 2010 Alpine Epic on 1st September 2009, at 9am. Time to pin down your lucky team-mate and pencil in leave at work. Places will be limited.

Some of your may have met Malcolm Law at this years Alpine Epic or know him from other events. He's planning to run the 7 New Zealand Great Walks in 7 days later in the year, in an attempt to raise $50,000 for the Leukaemia & Blood Foundation. This will be a great achievement for a fantastic cause.
